As a writer, he is the winner of Best Original Screenplay (Richmond International Film Festival) for "Acoustic Space," which he also directed and edited.Another short film he directed in 2014, "Walt Whitman Never Paid For It," won the Audience Choice Award at Richmond.

Other films as writer/director/editor include "Subway"(2010) and "Marital Arts" (2017) which screened in the Cannes Short Film Corner and was an official selection at the Chelsea Film Festival, NYC Independent Film Festival and Richmond International Film Festival.
