Andy Skelton was born in Bloomington, Indiana and was raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended and played football at Converse Judson High School for the legendary coach D.W. Rutledge who would later hire him as an assistant football coach.
Andy was the starting tight end in the 1988 Texas 5A State Championship game against Dallas Carter which eventually would inspire the movies "Friday Night Lights" and "Carter High". He attended Angelo State and the University of Texas-San Antonio for his undergraduate degree in Biology and Texas A&M-Kingsville for his Masters in Educational Administration.
He now is a high school football coach in San Antonio, Texas.Coach Skelton surprised a lot of people when he earned a SAG speaking role in the Angelo Pizzo movie "My All-American". Originally cast as a background role, Andy was promoted on only his second day on set to a SAG speaking role due to his passion and intensity on the sidelines.
He portrayed Frank Broyles, legendary head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He enjoyed learning from Aaron Eckhart (Coach Darrell Royal), Case McCoy (Bill Montgomery), and Charlie Crenshaw (hard hitting football specialist)during the long hours on set.
Andy has recently become a member of the Screen Actors Guild and is excited about learning more of possible projects in the future.Andy is also the owner/operator of Skelly 3S Livestock which he operates next to his County Road neighbors on the San Miguel Creek in Moore, Texas.
